“If I had to do it all over again….”
If I had to do it all over again,
I would have listened better…
to everyone…
but especially,
to myself.
That tiniest of voices,
though nonetheless heard -
As easily ignored,
as the dreams that float through my mind’s eye;
a twinge, nonetheless
and a real one at that.
The very best angel I ever had,
resided inside me,
and I didn’t even know she was there.
Though tremendously patient
she is; and I hear her now -
a wonder-filled narrator, indeed….
