I read an article the other day on  Get Paid To Write Online about the importance of establishing a good online rapport as a freelancer.  Sharon H. Hall, the blog’s author said part of establishing a good rapport is giving potential clients the opportunity to know who you are as a person -know what makes you tick.

Not unlike everyone else who freelances, I’m in it for the money, of course.  I have to eat, and pay bills just like everyone else.  But I’m also in it because writing is my profession.  It’s what makes life that certain, palpable mystery for me -to transcribe what I see, hear, learn or sense into words that give my reader the same spark I got when I first experienced the topic at hand.

The Tools

I find words to be one of the most powerful mediums in our human existence.  They can travel across miles, continents, even across time.  They can change minds, alter perspectives, or make an idea come across as right as rain.

So unless your writers, or freelancers hold a respect, perhaps even a reverence, towards this written word, and /or the words that they produce, how do you trust them?  How do you trust that they will connect with your readers?

I’m just sayin’ …… :)
